Visits with Family and more pics

I had some time off of work, so Kamri and I were able to go visit my parents and brother and sister and their families.  We got to see my sister's beautiful new baby boy, he is so sweet and SOOO tiny.  I miss them all already! Of course while we were away from home, Kamri had to get sick- a high fever and she kept saying her "frow up hurts" My mom and I ended up taking her to the hospital, where she had a double ear infection, so they sent us off with some amoxicillin and by the next day she was pretty much back to herself (of course with the help of tylenol and ibuprofen).  I hate seeing her so sick and it seems like every 3 months or so she gets sick with a sore throat/cold and ear infections.  I think it maybe time to go see an ENT.  As much as I don't want that, I also hate seeing her so miserable so often.  Here are some of the pics from our visit.

She LOVED Baby William.  I thought I was going to be able to hold him more since my Mom wasn't around, but I had to fight with Kamri to get a turn.

He has the cutest little head......

We celebrated Aunt Andrea's birthday while we were there, Grandma made a yummy banana cake for her.
 Sleeping in grandma's chair watching a movie....this never happens...NEVER

She had fun with her cousin Connor
We got to go see Sadie's concert. Kamri had so much fun watching it and she even knew a few songs.  I need to find something like that around here for her to do....she would LOVE it!
Wanting Grandma to hold her while we waited for the nurse to bring her some medicine.  She really didn't want to go to the Dr, when I told her that we were going. She said, I just want to go to bed Mom.  But Dr. Patton was super nice and Kamri thought it was cool that he talked like Mickey Mouse
Rocking with Grandpa and falling asleep.  I used to love rocking with my Dad- almost every night while he watched ball games until I got too big.  I think Grandpa loved that she wanted to rock with him-They share a love of ice cream and rocking.
She loved playing the piano and here she is teaching her Barbie how to play
Every time William cried she would run over to the piano either at my parents or at Andrea's and play him a lullaby, and as far as she was concerned, that made him stop crying every time.
Grandma got out an inside pogo stick....I think she may have regretted it soon after......
I just love this beautiful, blue eyed, yellow haired girl of mine.  She is so stinkin' stubborn and I sometimes have to just walk away and take a breath because we both don't back down- I know that I am going to be in for it when she gets older.  In the same breath that I say that she is stubborn, she has the kindest heart and she would do anything to help someone or any type of animal.  She is funny.....she is SOOO funny.  I don't know what I would do without her making me laugh every day.  She is so smart.  I'm not just saying this because she is my kid- she is literally so smart.  It blows my mind how much she remembers and the things that she knows the answers to- things I haven't personally discussed with her.  She is so animated and dramatic-I love listening to her play outside and pretend that she is Rapunzel saving Flynn Ryder, she literally acts out the whole entire movie.  No joke.  She sings and runs around in the backyard from one end to the next.  It makes my mommy heart happy.

Here are just a few random pics of her in the last month or so......

her poor little nasally voice....it's so dang cute though!!!

Kamri is 3!

We celebrated Kamri's birthday a couple days before her actual birthday.  She wanted a 'My Little Pony' themed party.  We tried our best!  She had a lot of fun and was SOOOO excited for her party.  This year by far has been the best because she actually knew what was going on.  Every present she opened she squealed, "OHHHHHH MY GOOOOOSH! I LOVE THIS!"  She was very spoiled and we had a great day.

 We sure love our GG

Kamri was pretty lucky and she actually got 2 parties!  We went over to Uncle Chad and Aunt Jolene's the night before her party for dinner and Aunt Jo made her a cake too!  So we sang to her and had cake and ice cream.  She was excited and had fun!

I asked Kamri some of her favorite things and these are the answers she gave:

                           -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On her actual birthday, I had to work. I thought I was going to be fine- I hadn't felt too emotional about it, but I lost it a couple times and had to leave to regain my composure.  I don't know why I was so emotional- it had been awhile that I had cried about it, I felt fine the night before and that morning.  Maybe it was just an overwhelming feeling that my baby isn't really a baby anymore, that I'm thankful for both our good health. My co-workers were so kind about it.  I said to one of them that I should just be over it by now and she asked me what I would say to someone else, would I just tell them to get over an obvious traumatic experience?  She told me to give myself some grace- and no certain amount of time should make it alright, but as more time passes- it may become a little easier.  (Thanks Trish!)
